FAQ > Installation > Is version 4.0 of .NET supported?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

MiceOnABeam v1.0.1 requires version 3.5 of the .NET framework be installed prior to installing MiceOnABeam.

If .NET v4.0 is installed, the MiceOnABeam installer will will issue the error message "This program requires the .NET Framework 3.5" and then terminate without installing the program.

(Note that in MiceOnABeam v1.0.0 the installer will issue the error message "This program requires the .NET Framework 3.5 or higher". The message is incorrect  in saying "or higher" as version 3.5 is required.)

To install MiceOnABeam you will have to install version 3.5 of the .NET framework. It can be installed alongside version 4.0. You can download 3.5 here.
